Welcome to Gemma Stanley, Operations Director

We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Gemma Stanley as Operations Director.

Following a prolonged period of profitability, we have created this new position to support further business growth and ensure the delivery of outstanding service.

Gemma Stanley has joined our team to lead their operations functions and technology transformation programme, both of which are designed on enabling continued outstanding service to broker partners.  Having recently been awarded a 5-star rating by brokers for capacity, products and service; we are firmly establishing ourselves as the number 1 partner for niche and hard to place risks.

Gemma joins us from IQUW and has previously held senior roles within Underwriting (previously, Head of Underwriting Transformation for ERS) and various claims roles.  Gemma comments: “I am excited to join First Underwriting at such an exciting and pivotal time in its journey.  The last 4 years have been about establishing their roots and demonstrating excellence in underwriting and service.  Now we need to bolster our business and invest in our operations, so that we can continue to deliver the service that First are renowned for.”
